I am originally from Montana where I was raised with my two brothers and four sisters. I was homeschooled by my mom from Kindergarten through 12th grade. Having been raised in a big, Catholic family, I have been deeply impacted my my faith and family. My experiences growing up in a homeschool family, in addition to the training I have received at the University of Mary, have taught me that the most important things in my life are relationships. My Catholic faith, family and friends are close to my heart and help me to grow as a person, in my work, play, and leisure. They have helped me to see teaching as a profession where I can give of myself through my time, talents, and treasures.

During my free time, I enjoy cooking and baking for my family and friends, taking long walks, enjoying a beautiful sunset, decorating, planning birthday parties, crafting my homemade lip balm, drinking coffee in the morning and spending time in prayer, listening to movie soundtracks or watching Downton Abbey with my suite mates. I especially love to spend time enjoying the beauty around me, whether that be a glowing sunset, the colorful fall scenery, a child's laughter, or a beautiful piano piece. Looking at the world like a child continues to bring me inspiration to live each day with joy, wonder, and awe.
"If we are vibrantly alive to reality, we learn that there is no end to what can and should trigger awe, wonder, praise, thanksgiving, and love."

My Journey to Teaching
Teaching and nurturing young hearts and minds has always been dear to my heart. Whether I was teaching my younger sibling how to play the piano or helping with my church's faith formation, I am continually filled with joy when I can give of myself to others through meaningful relationships. My own journey to becoming a teacher started with the relationship I have with my mom. Throughout my life, my mom has always shown me how much she believes in me by encouraging me to find where I could best spend my gifts and talents. She has always encouraged me to find what brings me joy and continues to be the person that inspires me to see that God is calling me to be a teacher. |
